Who we are
ForiService.com is a Pakistan-based marketplace that connects customers with local service providers. This policy explains what personal data we collect and how we use it.
Data we collect
Account data (name, email, mobile number, password hash), profile data for providers (business details, address, coordinates, photos), activity data (searches, saved providers, bookings, messages, reviews) and technical data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed).
How we use your data
To create and secure your account, show relevant providers near you, deliver booking requests and messages, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to support requests, and — with your consent — send service updates and newsletters.
Location data
If you allow browser location access, your approximate coordinates are used only to sort providers by distance during that session. We never store precise customer coordinates without consent.
Sharing
When you send a booking request or message, the provider receives your name, contact number and the details you supply. We never sell personal data. Limited data may be shared with hosting and email delivery providers acting on our instructions.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a preference cookie to remember light/dark mode. No third-party advertising cookies are set by default.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active and for up to 12 months after deletion for legal and fraud-prevention purposes.
Your rights
You may access, correct, export or delete your data at any time from your dashboard, or by emailing support. We respond to all requests within 30 days.
Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, all forms are CSRF-protected, and access to production data is restricted to authorised staff.
